Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Indianapolis .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Indianapolis Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

I really enjoyed getting the chance to practice posing and light utilization with other photographers and with good feedback. The studio space was gorgeous and Jordan was great to work with.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but I learned a ton. The biggest and immediate advantage was about how impactful the language you use when posing people can help them become more comfortable.

Beautiful weather and fantastic venue. It was challenging to find all the different landmarks, but we got to all the major ones! According to my phone, we walked over a mile and a half, but it didn't feel like it. Highly recommend any other trips to this location. As a bonus, I got to practice my long exposure with a fountain near the gate. Pretty happy with the results!

Great event! It was beautiful weather, lots of people out & about. Lots of opportunities for great photos. The instructor did a good job of offering tips on approaching people, as well as practical tips for the photos themselves. The tour of the Bottleworks Hotel was wonderful as well!!

My husband was cutting a friend's yard when he spotted the mushroom and he plucked it for me knowing I would love to take a picture of it. I asked him to go back outside and get me some leaves and such to put on a tray so I can take a picture. Canon T6i, 17-55mm f2.8. 1/250, f3.2, iso 100. Godox AD200 one on camera right with a grid and a Godox AD200 on camera left from behind mushroom with grid. I also used an LED flashlight and shined it directly down on the mushroom from the top. Title or Location: Foggy Morning Friends
This photo was captured at Eagle Creek Park back in September of 2024. It was an amazing morning for photography as the fog wasn't heavy enough to obscure but add atmosphere to the overall image. The sun was just starting to break and I was fortunate to be setup and ready for when this buck came into the scene with the Grey Heron and the White Egret. The photograph was captured using a Canon EOS R6MKII and a Tamron 150-600mm G2 lens and my settings: f/22 ? 1/400 ? 600mm ? ISO25600

Title or Location: This Still Life Photograph of "Grapes, Strawberry's and Wine" was taken in my bedroom in Orange County California.
This image is a Still Life Composition of "Berries, Wine and Grapes" that I created on a rainy day in my bedroom. I used no fancy Studio Lighting at all. My only light source was a hand-held flashlight that I kept moving rapidly. It was an experiment in Light Painting when I couldn't go outside to shoot.
