Beautiful weather and fantastic venue. It was challenging to find all the different landmarks, but we got to all the major ones! According to my phone, we walked over a mile and a half, but it didn't feel like it. Highly recommend any other trips to this location. As a bonus, I got to practice my long exposure with a fountain near the gate. Pretty happy with the results!

Taking the long way home early in the morning from my parent's house in Illinois, I was slowly driving along East River Road and saw movement in the sunlight. There was a doe standing a few feet off the side of the road, so I grabbed my camera, of course. When I looked up to take a pic, I saw this big buck staring at me. We had a staredown for about a minute or so before we parted ways. It was a wonderful moment.

I am a night photographer. This is shot with a technique called backlight scanning that I've recently found and started playing with. In short, a backlight scanner is a light modifier that provides 365 degree illumination and when combimed with long exposures can provide unique and even lighting to a scene. It can be used on it's own or combined with other light painting styles.

I was walking along the Monon trail with my family one morning and came across this squirrel that seemed totally unafraid of all the people walking past.Picture taken with my Sony a6400, Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 lens. Shot at 70mm, f/2.8, 1/100s, ISO 100. Other than sizing down for submission, there's actually no editing involved picture is straight out of camera. The squirrel let me get close enough that I didn't even need to crop in.
